When Customs selects a shipment for inspection, VSPEED follows up on the required documents and site arrangements, then updates the customer on progress and any changes to the delivery plan. These photos show inspection-site activity, cargo inside an open container and a container exterior.
Inspection requirements and release are determined by Customs. The photos document the site; they do not establish a shipment’s clearance result or a guaranteed release time.

Why do shipments get held at the port?
The common causes are an incomplete declaration, a wrong HS code, a missing permit for a controlled item, or a value the Customs officer queries. Most of them are visible in the documents before the vessel arrives, which is why VSPEED reviews them early.
Can VSPEED handle clearance if another forwarder moves the freight?
Yes. Clearance can be arranged as a standalone service for cargo that another party is shipping, provided the documents and the arrival details are shared in time.
What documents do I need to send?
Invoice, packing list, bill of lading or air waybill, and any permits that apply to the product. Send them before arrival — a document produced after the vessel berths usually costs storage.
Does VSPEED handle permits as well as the declaration?
Permit work such as MAQIS approval for food and agricultural goods is prepared alongside the declaration, rather than treating the permit as the importer's separate problem.
How is duty and SST decided?
Customs assesses them from the HS code and the declared value. VSPEED files the declaration and supports the classification, but the final assessment is the authority's, so no duty-inclusive figure is promised up front.
Can clearance connect straight to delivery?
Yes. After release the cargo can move on VSPEED's own fleet to your address, warehouse or distribution point, so the shipment does not stop at the port waiting for a separate haulier.
